Grounded in equity and inclusion, the project prioritized accessibility at every level — from design systems and color contrast to navigation and content structure — to ensure every user can connect with DRO’s mission to protect the civil rights of people with disabilities.

In designing a visual brand to serve those with disabilities, we tailored our research for users with hearing, sight, and cognitive challenges, and also for people from neurodiverse backgrounds, experiencing houselessness, or have a limited access to hardware and connectivity.

The resulting website takes user-friendliness to the next level through visual appeal, brand consistency, and ultra-compatibility for screen reading devices and navigating by keyboard or commands, all designed with a clear, easy-to-navigate information hierarchy.

Our partnership with DRO demonstrates how thoughtful design can advance equity in tangible ways. The rebrand strengthened organizational credibility, streamlined communication, and expanded digital reach, helping more people access resources and advocacy when they need it most.
