Celebrated bartender Kyle Linden Webster had a very clear vision of the cocktails he would serve and the mood he would set at Expatriate. Culling ingredients and interior embellishments from international sources, he wanted a brand as strong and emblematic as a nation’s insignia.
We worked with Kyle to create a unique series of icons and marks to represent Expatriate. The Expatriate Branding Suite is based on the juxtaposition of international marks and symbols. The main mark is inspired by the mythical Lijagulep - a creature part lion, jaguar and leopard that marked the postage stamp of a secessionist region in the Republic of the Congo during the early 1960s.
